    Remarks:
The inscription on a nearby plaque reads: The Fenwick Bell/This solid bronze 400 - pound bell was cast in 1854 by Henry N. Hooper who took over Paul Revere's Foundry in Boston after Revere's death in 1818. Mounted atop Fenwick Hall in 1854, this bell daily tolled the "Angelus" and "The Profundis" for over 100 years.
The bell was cast according to specifications made by Holy Cross College. It was cast by the Henry N. Hooper Company in the foundry once owned and operated by Paul Revere. The bell was originally installed on top of Fenwick Hall, but was later relocated to the front of Dinand Library, and later to the front of O'Kane Hall.
