(117 x 96.2 cm) Inscription:  (On reverse, no longer visible:) Catharine Hendrickson (On same line, with different ink and by a different hand:) 1781 Description:  Three-quarter-length portrait of Catharine Hendrickson (1753-1835) standing in a landscape. She holds a fan in her right hand and two flowers in her left hand. A pot of flowers is at left and three wild birds (robin, cardinal and dove) are in the background. The dove flies at right with an olive branch in his mouth.
