Founded in 1965, Lakeview Museum featured rotating gallery exhibitions of fine and folk art collections, a planetarium, and educational programming. Lakeview closed its doors in 2012 to become part of the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The sculpture was formerly installed outside the Lakeview Museum.
