    Remarks:
Commissioned by the Minneapolis Arts Commission, Art in Public Places Program, Artist-Designed Bench Competition. The final cost was $6,000. The bench was restored in July 1991 after sustaining heavy vandalism damage. The paint was stripped and the surfaces repainted with an epoxy paint. The separating back support was screwed together and filled with a plastic filler. The artist refabricated the bird figure. The whole piece was covered with a clear epoxy protective coat. IAS files include a related article from Skyway News (Minneapolis, MN), Aug. 6, 1991 and a survey form from the Commission.
