Title:  Father Eusebio Francisco Kino, S.J. 1645-1711, (sculpture). Dates:  Dedicated Dec. 12, 1976. Medium:  Bronze. Dimensions:  Figure: approx. 39 x 25 x 16 in.; Base: approx. 3 x 36 x 36 in. Inscription:  no 1 (copyright symbol) 63/G. Phippen signed Description:  Full-length figure of Father Kino. He is dressed in a Fransiscan-type monk's robe with a crucifix tucked into his belt and a hat slung down his back. He is holding a round compass-like instrument at waist level in his proper left hand. He carries a scroll or a map in his proper right hand which is also resting on a small sculpture of a church. In 1976, Brinckerhoff, then director of the Arizona Historical Society, gave his permission for the casting to be made.
