    Description: 
    Full-length figure of Father Kino. He is dressed in a Fransiscan-type monk's robe with a crucifix tucked into his belt and a hat slung down his back. He is holding a round compass-like instrument at waist level in his proper left hand. He carries a scroll or a map in his proper right hand which is also resting on a small sculpture of a church.

    Remarks: 
    Statue of Father Kino, 1645-1711, is a copy of the original by George Phippin, owned by Sidney Brinckerhoff. In 1976, Brinckerhoff, then director of the Arizona Historical Society, gave his permission for the casting to be made. Rosina Greene Harmony was the landscape architect for the front area of the hospital where the figure is located. IAS files contain a related article from Arizona Daily Star, Dec. 18, 1976.
