Medium:  Sculpture: pressure treated wood and painted steel; Base: concrete. Dimensions:  Sculpture: approx. 13 x 13 x 8 ft.; Base: approx. 3 ft. x 4 ft. x 4 in. Inscription:  ELEANOR HAND signed Description:  Playhouse encircled by a large red heart that is supported by a V-shaped concrete wall. The playhouse has two sides with two windows each and railings on each end. All windows contain a metal framed sun. Yellow rays of metal tubing spring through the roof and are attached to the inside of the heart as structural support. There is a black metal ladder for entering the playhouse through a hole in the floor. Twelve children were asked to design a model for the sculpture and the community chose a model of a house inside a heart by fifteen year old, Isaia Jackson. The project was launched in March 1991, with about $6,000.00 in grants from Atlanta's Bureau of Cultural Affairs, the Fulton Country Arts Council and the Georgia Council for the Arts and Humanities. The total cost of the project was $30,000. Student collaborators included Stacey Primrose, Isiah Jackson and Jhan Jackson. Eleanor Hand created the sculpture, which was fabricated by Tony Loadholt. Other participating artists included Al Clayton, Tony Deleo, Bill Drath, Jim Greenwood, Eddie Granderson, Linda Gunshor, and Lynn Marshall-Linnemeir.
