    Description: 
    An abstract sculpture resembling a castle, made of 3/4 inch acrylic panels with metal fastenings. The sculpture functions as a playhouse for children. Sculpture has three groupings--one of two stories, one of three stories, and a third, one story section connected to the others by an above-ground crossover of three units. Sculpture has ladders cut in the side panels for climbing, and big holes in the panels for play.

    Remarks: 
    The cost of the sculpture was over $12,000, and was funded by New Mexico One Percent for the Arts and the Art in Public Places program of the New Mexico Arts Division of the Office of Cultural Affairs. It was created by Susan and Bruce Hamilton. The sculpture was commissioned for the hospital. The sculpture is child participatory, intended for children who are patients, and is wheelchair accessible. IAS files contain two related articles from the hospital publication The Tingley Times (July-Aug. 1986), and The Tingley Times 3 (May-June).
