    Description: 
    A seated woman reading to a small boy who stands by her proper right side, leaning up against her. Both the mother and son look at an open book which is suspended slightly over her lap, held by the mother's proper left hand and the sons's proper right hand. The mother wears a floor-length dress or nightgown while the son wears pajamas. The sculpture rests on a cylindrical concrete base.
