Inscription:  (Artist signature on underside of large arch) signed Description:  Abstract depiction of spawning salmon. Four arc-shaped pieces of varying sizes (8 to 16 ft. in length), each with a steel plate with cutouts on top resembling dorsal fins. Subject:  Animal -- Fish -- Salmon Abstract -- Geometric Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Alaska -- Anchorage Sculpture Owner:  Administered by Anchorage Museum of History and Art, One Percent Art in Public Places, 121 West Seventh Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 Located Southeast corner of A Street & 13th Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska Remarks:  Sculpture funded through the Municipality of Anchorage's Percent Art in Public Places program. IAS files contain detailed dimensions of each piece, and the Percent Art in Public Places Catalogue Sheet filled out by the artist, which says: "Upstream" compares a salmon run to the daily commuter run into downtown Anchorage.
