Description:
For a two week period in May 1983, eleven of the islands in Biscayne Bay were surrounded with pink woven polypropylene fabric. 6,500,000 square feet of material covered the surface of the water, floating and extending out 200 feet from the islands into the bay.

Remarks:
Preparations for the installation began in 1981 and involved professionals from numerous fields, including lawyers, a marine biologist, ornithologists, a mammal expert, a marine engineer, four consulting engineers and a building contractor.
