Description:
A standing figure of the Marquis de Lafayette in military uniform, wearing a long coat and cape. His proper left hand rests on the handle of his sheathed sword, the tip placed beside his foot. He holds a rolled document in his proper right hand. Behind Lafayette is the suggestion of a cannon and cannonballs. The sculpture is mounted on top of a square base and set upon a foundation.
