    Description: 
    Two bear cubs hold onto the sides of a tall, smooth column that represents a tree. One cub is at the very top side of the column and has his head turned to the proper right side. The other cub is slightly lower and is holding onto the opposite side of the column. The second cub's head is also turned to the proper right side.

    Remarks: 
    Don McCoy, Gerry Sample, Harry Collins, and Earl Prestrud were student helpers who assisted the artist in creating the sculpture. Ed Thoreson poured the cement base and Tom Allard did the final welding for the piece. IAS files contain two articles from the Cooke County Historical Society dated Spring 1993 and the Cooke County News-Herald dated August 20, 1953.
