    Chain saw carving of lumberjack Jackpine Savage. He is seen standing, his proper right hand holding an axe over his proper left shoulder. He is dressed as a lumberjack, with a hat, a shirt with rolled-up sleeves, and pants with rolled-up cuffs and suspenders. The sculpture is mounted on a circular base.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was purchased from Wood Butchery of Big Falls for $4,000. The Lions Club raised the money through citizen, business and civic organization donations, and fund-raising promotions. The sculpture is a tribute to the area lumberjacks. IAS files contain related article from the International Falls Daily Journal (Minnesota), July 12, 1995; and an excerpt from Moira Harris' "Monumental Minnesota," Pogo Press, 1992, pg. 79.
