The artist created this sculpture for the library after hearing that the architect's plans contained no specific designs for the type of art work that should adorn the library's courtyard on Haverill Street. The piece was fabricated at the artist's company, the General Iron and Steel Company. The sculpture was funded with $10,000 from the Allen J. Ash Estate.
