    A pair of lions on separate pedestals. Both lions are painted orange/tan with brown highlights and blue eyes. They are in a resting position with their heads held high.

    Remarks: 
    Background information is available at the Redwood Park & Recreation Office and at the Karl Vollmayer Room, Redwood City Main Library. Pages excerpted from a developer's 1889 booklet (included in IAS files), indicate that lions were originally erected for an entry to a posh housing project which was never developed. This booklet refers to the lions as Abyssinian Lions by Gef of Belgium.
