    Owner:
City of Miami, Parks & Recreation Department, 1149 N.W. 11th Street, Miami, Florida 33128
    Provenance:
Formerly located Bayfront Park, Miami, Florida
    Remarks:
The sculpture was created in 1974 or 1976 and was originally installed on a marble base in Miami's Bayfront Park. The dedication ceremony took place Oct. 12, 1977. In 1986, as part of a redevelopment of Bayfront Park, the statue and about 20 others, had to be relocated. At time of SOS! survey, sculpture had been removed from its base and was in city warehouse.
IAS files contain copy of dedication pamphlet, city resolution 80-827 calling for relocation of Bayfront statues because of redevelopment; and Miami Herald article, July 31, 1986, Sec. B. IAS files also contain site plans for Bayfront Park showing placement of sculpture and text of related plaque.
