Three limestone reliefs above the entrance to Lindley Hall, each depicting a mining scene. The relief panel on the left depicts a man next to a large pulley. He wears a hard hat and his proper right arm is raised above his head, as if directing the movement of the pulley. Behind him, on his proper right side, is a smaller-sized man and two smokestacks with billowing smoke. The central relief panel depicts a man in business suit, jacket and tie. He holds an open book in his proper left hand and a pick in his proper right hand. There are three objects place on a ledge before him. Behind him on his proper right side is a man reaching up to adjust the controls of a smokestack. The relief panel of the right depicts a man with his back to the viewer. He holds an axe in his proper right hand, and behind him, a smaller-sized man is seen drilling into the ground. Smoke surrounds both figures, although there is no smokestack in this panel.

    Title supplied by Inventory cataloger.
According to March 13, 1942 and March 28, 1942 correspondence (on file in IAS) between then Chancellor Dean Malott and the State Architect's office, Frazier was working on quarter scale models for Lindley Hall. Lindley Hall was then home of metallurgical sciences on campus.
