The three ribbons symbolize the colors of the ribbons worn in the days after the April 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Blue stands for Oklahoma, purple for hope, and white for innocence. Nearby plaque reads: "Dedicated to the men and women/of Southwestern Bell/and their families for their:/Compassion/Courage/Leadership/Inspiration/Service/after the Alfred P. Murrah/Federal Building Tragedy."/We Remember/April 1995.
