A bronze crucified Christ on a rough-hewn cross made of white oak impregnated with creosote. Spikes are driven in at the figure's wrists. Christ wears a crown of thorns and is nude except for a drape at the hips. A sign nailed to the cross over his head reads "INRI" in raised letters. The sculpture is planted in a pile of fieldstones.
