Remarks:
The fountain, which is thought to date from the 1840s, was purchased by Alice Abel from an antique dealer in Paris, France. It was donated by the Lincoln Altrusa Club. Alice Abel created the Hazel Abel Park as a tribute to her mother, Mrs. Hazel Abel, who served as a U.S. Senator from Nebraska. The park was designed by city landscape architect Emilio Fontana.
