Dimensions:  Sculpture: approx. 3 ft. x 2 ft. 3 1/2 in. x 16 in.; Base: approx. 67 in. x 2 ft. 11 in. x 22 in. Inscription:  (On left side:) Joon (sic) Dupuis/1917(sic)/The Hague (On bottom right rear:) Fonders Natledes Bronzes/Aness...J. Peterman/St. Gilles - Bruxelles (On plaque, front of base:) Petrus Stuyvesant/Director General of Nev Nederland/of Curacao and the Dutch West Indies/this bust was given to the people of New York/in trust of/Saint-Marks-in-the-Bowerye/in 1915 by Wilhelmina Queen of the Netherlands (inscription regarding Stuyvesant's original commission from Commissie Bier of the States General) signed Founder's mark appears. Description:  Bust of Stuyvesant which shows his arms folded in front of his chest. He has long hair and stares off to his proper left. Sculpture sits atop a square base which has a plaque attached to the front. Subject:  Portrait male -- Stuyvesant, Peter -- Bust Ethnic -- Dutch Occupation -- Political -- Governor Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- New York -- New York Sculpture Owner:  St. Mark's-in-the-Bouwerie Church, 131 East 10th Street, Side yard, New York, New York 10003 Remarks:  Given by Queen Wilhelmina of Holland to New York City in 1915.
