Description:
The bronze figure group consists of two male figures seated on a boulder. The proper right figure, representing strength, holds a bowl in his proper right hand, while his proper left arm is around the shoulders of the proper left figure. The proper left figure, representing weakness, leans against the proper right figure. The proper left figure looks down at a bowl he holds with both hands. The proper right figure is dressed in shirt, trousers, and shoes, while the proper left figure is shirtless and shoeless. Behind the figures are two symbols of strength: a stump sprouting oak leaves, and a plowshare. The figure group rests on the central section of a long stone base. A semi-circular drinking fountain projects outward from the front of the central section. The proper right and proper left sections of the base each include a bench. All of these elements sit on a stone platform.
