Description:  A pair of columns at the entrance to the library contains mosaics which incorporate quotes, the local landscape, fanciful images and Cahuilla petroglyphs. The first column represents the Palms to Pines Highway. Its colors evokes the changing landscape of the road. The second column contains images and petroglyphs, woven with Spanish tiles. These exterior mosaics are also accompanied by mosaics within the Library interior.
