(On right:) ORGANIZED IN PHILADELPHIA/MUSTERED IN SEPT. 1, 1862./MUSTERED OUT JUNE 19, 1865/AGGREGATE STRENGTH 1200/KILLED AND DIED OF WOUNDS 136/DIED OF DISEASE AND OTHER CAUSES 68/WOUNDED 300 (Inscription on left lists the nineteen battles in which the regiment fought) unsigned Founder's mark appears.
    Description: 
    Tapered, castellated monument stands on a low, rough-hewn base. Relief elements include a knapsack with infantry accouterments and a bronze State Seal, both on the front. The monument is topped with a four-sided Greek cross, the insignia of the VI Corps.

    Remarks: 
    Monument is one of 110 honoring Pennsylvania troops who participated in the Gettysburg campaign. It indicates the position of the 119th Pennsylvania Infantry on the morning of July 3, 1863 when confronting a possible Confederate flanking movement. The piece is located in the yard of a private residence. The sculpture (referred to as MN 377) is listed on the National Park Service, List of Classified Structures and is referenced in the Gettysburg National Military Park Archives, vol. 33.
