    Description: 
    A kinetic, abstract sculpture with five wing-like paddles stacked above each other, and sitting atop a tapered, three-sided column. The five paddles get progressively smaller from bottom to top and each rotates independently in the wind. The tapered column is anchored to a low, cylindrical base and is surrounded by a low, landscaped circle.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was commissioned by Linclay Corporation, Columbus, Ohio, with partial funding from the Ohio Arts Council Art in Public Places program. The sculpture was designed specifically for the building, the size and forms scaled to complement the architecture. The word "panoply" originally described the knight in shining armor who protected the castle gate. IAS files contain a related article from Art Academy News (Dec. 1984).
