Description:
An abstract sculpture consisting of three shapes balanced vertically on top of each other, pierced by a straight shaft. The bottom shape is formed like the letter "C" and is black and white striped. The middle shape is a "Y" laying on its side. The two faces of the "Y" are green and its sides are purple. The top shape is a "6", laying on its back. The two faces of the "6" are red and its sides are black and white checked. The concrete and rebar sculpture is covered with small ceramic tiles. The sculpture rests on a round concrete base.

Remarks:
The sculpture's shapes are derived from childrens' toys and the alphabet. The sculpture was donated to the city by Walter and Raye Carrington and Sent and Mary Visser, in memory of their daughters, Cathy Carrington and Adriana Samantha Visser. The deed of gift for the donation was signed July 30, 1988. Baez and Associates acted as consultants and designed the base which was constructed by Evergreen Construction. IAS files contain copies of related city memoranda, documents and correspondence.
