    Description: 
    Mary is seated on a throne, holding the infant child, Jesus, on her lap with both hands. There is a yellow halo behind each head. Mary is dressed in a royal blue mantle and a bright red skirt; her feet are covered in wine-colored shoes. The infant is dressed in white swaddling clothes. The throne is made of bright green and gold blocks.

    Remarks: 
    The artist, Jean Charlot, died on March 20, 1979, leaving the sculpture of "Mary Our Mother" unfinished. The installation was done by Evelyn Giddings, and the tile, which was made by Raku process, was done by Howard Ching and Zaneta Harris. Mark and Isami Enomoto assisted in the firing of the tiles. IAS files contain articles from the Honolulu Advertiser dated October 23, 1979, pg. B-1; and the Honolulu Star Bulletin dated October 3, 1980, pg. C-10.
