    Remarks:
Residents of adjacent Hilltop House Retirement Center and other neighbors raised concerns about the appearance of the garage so the King County Arts Commission selected Seattle artist Vicki Scuri to create a design for the exterior of the garage. Funding was provided by the King County Percent for Art Program. Scuri worked on a design team with prime contractor ABAM Engineering Contractors and consulted architects Elaine Day La Tourelle and Associates in an effort to soften the building's harsh lines and humanize its scale.
