    Description: 
    Abstract tower composed of a series of triangular shapes abutting one another. The surface is composed of colored tiles bearing abstract patterns, numerology and Cabalistic imagery, and finished with a highly reflective glaze. The tower rises from a blue and white base bordered with polished granite.

    Remarks: 
    Commissioned by Art-in-Architecture program for the Federal Building's plaza. DiStefano and his partner Diane Troy made every part by hand, mixing and casting the concrete form, and painting hundreds of tiles individually. IAS files contain related article from Express (Berkely, CA?), July 1, 1994, which states the work took two years to complete.
