    Description: 
    A standing figure of Justice holds her proper left arm high in the air. Her proper right hand is clenched into a fist. A laurel wreath rests atop her head and her hair is loose and above her shoulders. She wears a full-length robe belted at the waist with a secondary garment wrapped around her hips and knotted on her proper right side.

    Remarks: 
    John E. Day was the architect of the original courthouse, 1832-1835. The new front section, including the figure, was added in 1894. The figure originally wore a blindfold and held scales and a sword. Because of the figure's location, SOS! surveyor could not complete full condition assessment.
