    Remarks:
The cannons are exact replicas of Napoleon 12-pound light field cannon. They were created by Mountain View High School students under the direction of instructors Larry Books and Darell Midles between 1990-1992. The City of Vancouver supplied the materials for the replicas. Placement of the cannons was the Eagle Scout project of James Deuvall, Troop 328, Vancouver. The replicas were dedicated to the four Medal of Honor recipients buried in the Vancouver Barracks cemetery and were unveiled as part of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society's convention in 1991. Vancouver Granite Works supplied the nearby stone marker which is inscribed with a history of the project and the names of students who participated in it. A nearby plaque lists the names of financial contributors. IAS files contain transcriptions of all these names.
