Description:
Patron Saint of Christian Educators, St. Charles Borromeo stands with his head bent slightly down. His proper right arm bends up at the elbow, the hand grasping a vertical staff. He holds a large bible in his proper left hand, resting it against his chest and upper arm. He wears a long, straight robe and a cross hangs around his neck.

Remarks:
Dick Deschamp constructed the granite pedestal. The statue was custom made in Carrara, Italy to the specifications of Father John Pfeifer, with the help of Diane Silha. She designed a modernized sketch from a photograph of the Saint. Cost approx. ten thousand dollars. IAS files contain related article from Bowman County Pioneer (Bowman, ND), March 1985 which contains an installation shot.
