Brightly painted totem pole contains, from top to bottom, a grey owl with red and white spots, a brown deer with white markings and gold antlers, a green turtle, a grey and white fish with yellow markings, a brown beaver, a black and white loon, and a brown bear.

Remarks:
Gift of the Maurice Denis family. Ellis Denio assisted in the carving. IAS files contain a related article from the Adirondack Echo, Aug. 15, 1980 and Mr. Denis's dedicatory remarks which explain the symbolism of the creatures on the pole.
