Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 2411 Bagnell Dam Boulevard, Box 15, Lake Ozark, Missouri 65049
Remarks:
Sculpture was erected by the Church as part of a memorial that cost $107,000. The memorial also includes polished granite benches in front of the church. The names of donors are engraved on the benches. The front portico of the church was built in conjunction with the sculpture's installation. The sculpture's dedication was part of the Church's "Celebration 1990" events, commemorating the parish's 50th anniversary and mission-renewal. Amy Stutte did the original design for the sculpture, and Catholic Supply of St. Louis (with Daniel C. Stutte, President) contracted with Demetz Studios in Italy for the sculpture. Demetz Studios also provided the memorial benches. A nearby plaque reads: Memorial Statue/Our Lady of the Lake/Star of the Sea/Dedicated May 6th 1990/Most. Rev. Michael F. McAuliffe S.T.D./Rev. J. James Offut/Pastor/Designed and Sculptured through the Demetz Art Studio/Ortisei Italy/Represented by Catholic Supply of St Louis Inc. St Louis/Missouri.
