Description:
Life-size figures of Charles M. Russell and his horse, Monte stand on a square base which is adorned on two sides with bison skulls. Russell wears a striped waistcoat, hat, boots and sash. He leans against Monte, with his proper left arm around the horse's neck. He holds a cigarette in his proper right hand. Monte's head is turned towards Russell.

Funded by D. A. Davidson and Company and through the sale of two limited edition versions of the sculpture. The base was funded by the First Bank of Great Falls with donations from the Sletten Construction Company. Sculpture is lighted.
