Description:
A series of 18 half panels mounted above 9 doors on the side of a building. The panels are abstract bas-relief designs based on Mimbres pottery motifs and include stylized feathers, clouds, lightning, corn, bird eyes, and human hand. The panels are mounted to six-foot U-shaped aluminum strips which are bolted to the facade of the building.

Remarks:
The panels were commissioned through a New Mexico One Percent for the Arts Project administered by the New Mexico Arts Division. Total cost was $7,670. The panels were executed as part of Western New Mexico University's centennial. The panels are placed above the nine doorways on the east facing entrance to the Fine Arts Auditorium. IAS files contain copies of the artist's statement, the dedication ceremony program and the commissioning contract.
