    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a Vietnam war soldier leading patrol. He is dressed in battle fatigues and wears a helmet. In his proper right hand he holds a rifle, the butt of the gun sits on his proper right knee. His proper left arm is raised and bent at the elbow, he signals with his proper left hand. He stands on a rock. The bronze sculpture stands in a square concrete planter which is covered with black ceramic tile. Nine feet in front of the sculpture is a granite text tablet set in sloped position atop a granite base.
