Jesus stands wearing a long robe with a tunic over it. He has shoulder-length hair and a beard. He holds both hands to his chest and points with each index finger to a heart emblazoned there. The sculpture is mounted atop a rectangular, stepped base with a rough-hewn bottom. Attached to the front of the base is a bronze plaque containing a relief bust of Rt. Rev. Monsignor Dominic Blasco.

The sculpture, which was planned in 1947, cost $3,500. The relief bust commemorates Rt. Rev. Monsignor Dominic Blasco, pastor of Sacred Heart Church at the time the sculpture was acquired.
