Description:
An elongated figure of Jesus, seen kneeling against a rock, his hands under chin. His face is turned towards the heavens. The sculpture is placed in a planted setting with a granite bench and an olive tree (symbolizing the Mount of Olives) nearby.

Remarks:
Inscription on bench: NEVERTHELESS NOT MY WILL BUT THINE BE DONE. IAS files contain related article from the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Feb. 7, 1962, pg. 19, announcing plans for creation of sculpture; and additional newspaper clippings. According to the artist, the elongated stele shape of the monument was designed to convey the feeling of a steeple pointing to God.
