Orange - Ganic Domino, (sculpture). Artist:  Crawford, Robbin L., 1937- , sculptor. Title:  Orange - Ganic Domino, (sculpture). Dates:  1977. Medium:  Steel. Dimensions:  Approx. 6 ft. 5 in. x 2 ft. x 13 ft. Inscription:  R (shaped like a robin) signed Description:  A huge domino pierced with five large holes in place of the traditional white dots. The outside of the domino is painted light blue and the interior surfaces are painted yellow. The sculpture was designed for children to play on and is installed in a playground area of the park. Subject:  Abstract -- Geometric Recreation -- Sport & Play -- Dominoes Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Michigan -- Grand Rapids Sculpture Owner:  John Ball Memorial Park, Valley Street, N.W. & West Fulton Street, Grand Rapids, Michigan Remarks:  The sculpture was the winner of the Playground Sculpture Competition for Festival '77. Originally the sculpture was painted orange on the outside and yellow on the inside, hence its title.
