Remarks:
IAS files contain copies of Macomb Daily Journal (Macomb, IL), Aug. 31, 1974, pg. 3 and Western Courier (April 8, 1974), which give brief history of the sculpture. Steel was donated by the U.S. Steel Corporation in honor of the school's 75th anniversary, which the piece commemorates. Work was done under the direction of then Assistant Professor, George W. Potter and six students -- Ron Gard, Chris Cornell, Pat Pfieffer, Eric Cochran, Charlotte Meister, and Mike Cuttingham.
