    Remarks: 
    Daughter of Capt. William Batey and Ann (Bass) Batey of Murfreesboro. Her father was captain of the second army of the Virginia Militia, his commission being signed by Patrick Henry. She married Col. James Moore King on Nov. 29, 1821 and lived at Rural Rest in Murfreesboro, where they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1871. She died on Aug. 18, 1887.
