Remarks:
Commissioned by Giorgio Borlenghi, president of Interfin Corporation. The obelisk is made up of eight pieces of sand-cast ductile iron welded together. Joseph T. Colaco and CBM Engineers prepared engineering drawings for the casting. HCB Contractors prepared for the installation and Melton Henry Architects coordinated the actual installation. IAS files contain copy of newspaper article from Houston Chronicle, May 16, 1982, pg. 17, which details the commissioning and creation.
