A young girl running with her proper right leg pushing off from a rectangular base. She wears a pinafore dress and is barefoot; her arms are extended on either side.

Remarks:
The sculpture is a memorial to Calvin Verity that was erected with and endowment fund created by Verity's brother-in-law, Norman Bassett. Calvin Verity, son of the founder of Armco Steel, was a chairman of the First National Bank and an executive Vice President and General Manager of Armco. Verity was also one of the founders of Arts in Middletown, Inc. IAS files a contain an article from Middletown Journal (OH), April 24, 1982, pg. 2; an excerpt from the Arts in Middletown newsletter; and an advertisement from Zantman Art Galleries, Ltd. that gives the title, "Dandelion Days," to the sculpture. The sculpture was restored in June-July 1998.
