Description:
A motorized cone-shaped sculpture with rings welded horizontally the length of it turns on a circular, metal track in a bed of sand, making one revolution every twenty-four hours. The revolutions create circular tracks in the sand. Twenty-four benches are bolted around the circle.

Remarks:
Commissioned by the Dallas Morning News-WFAA Foundation as part of the sesquicentennial of the A. H. Belo Corporation, the Foundation's companion philanthropic foundation. The sculpture is on permanent loan to the City of Dallas, and the Corporation is responsible for its maintenance. James Cinquemani designed and produced the mechanical elements, and supervised the construction of the Cor-Ten steel elements. IAS files include a brochure from the Foundation and the text to a nearby commemorative plaque.
