The sculpture is a collaborative work of architect Alison Wright and graphic designer Jeanie Chong. According to the artists, "Old Growth (New/Now) looks back to a time when electric poles were associated with cutting edge technology. The work uses actual electric poles and cross arms to display glass panels imprinted with imagery, including historical photos from the archives of Southern California Edison and the Culver City Historical Society."
