    Description: 
    Mr. Snover stands wearing a mustache and beard, dressed in a carpenter's apron. He holds a saw in his proper left hand and a plane in his proper right hand. The sculpture is set within a polished granite canopied structure with four Corinthian columns, topped by a three foot round finial. The base has a three-tiered, inscribed lower section. The monument is flanked by two pink, polished granite headstones and is enclosed by a square railing supported by pink stone posts.

    Remarks: 
    Monument commemorates Mr. Snover, a cabinetmaker in the village of Candor, New York, and was funded by $5,000 in his will, which was to include the monument and a small chapel in his memory. SOS! surveyor indicates "192" as date of installation. Headstone on one side of the monument reads: NANCY/1828-1902. Headstone on other side of monument reads: JOHN F/1829-1904.
