    Description: 
    A three-part abstract sculpture made of Cor-Ten steel, braising rods, and roller bearings. Each of the three parts, mounted on a propeller or tripod-type base, is kinetic and able to move or swivel on a roller bearing. The three parts are open vertical shapes which symbolize the arts, including dance, drama, music, and the visual arts. The sculpture rests on a bed of gravel within a brick enclosure. Around the brick enclosure is a simple chain fence.

    Inscription on plaque at entrance to Ohoopee Regional Library reads: IN MEMORY OF/SYLVIA G. BROWN/1929-1968/ADVISER - TROOP 400 GSA/DONATED BY/FRIENDS OF TROOP 400/MRS. JOHN F. COLLINS - ADVISER/APRIL 12, 1970/DR. H. W. CARRIN - SCULPTOR. Sculpture cost one thousand one hundred and fifteen dollars and was commissioned by Girl Scout Troop 400 in memory of their former leader, Sylvia G. Brown. The sculpture was removed in 1991 during the expansion of the library, and was not reinstalled until March 1993 (after a petition was circulated asking for its reinstallation.) IAS files contain related articles from Vidalia Advance (Vidalia, GA), April 16, 1970, which discusses the dedication ceremony; "Vidalia Works Included in National SOS Inventory," ORCA Matters, Newsletter of the Ohoopee Regional Council for the Arts (Oct.-Dec 1993); and "Memorial to Former Scout Dedicated in Vidalia," Low's Echo XIV (May -June 1970): pg. 1.
