(On angular slab at top of staircase:) POLICE MEMORIAL (On fountain:) In honor of those/who gave their lives/protecting our community/May 13, 1991 (On circular pool: names of all slain police officers).

Water cascades down the center of a pair of staircases or step-likestructures which are set into the side of a small hill. It then flows into a circular polished granite basin. A fountain jet of water sprays upward from the center of the basin.
