H. 20 ft. x Diam. 3 ft.; Overall: approx. L. 60 ft. 6 in. x W. 45 ft. 10 in. Inscription:  unsigned Description:  Site-specific installation encompassing a courtyard between two buildings. A series of low steps lead down to the courtyard plaza floor which is covered with colored pebbles. Two sycamore trees are planted near one end. A lapping fountain of cut sandstone and Arroyo granite springs from the roots of the trees. Water follows a narrow channel, over the black granite base of the Sentinel and disappears into a gravel border. Drifts of plants are planted around the fountain edges. The Sentinel is a column rising to a capital with four eagle heads and topped with a cobalt blue light. The back stucco wall of the courtyard is painted purple and capped with a red band.
